Runs with 10 girls in interior. Itinerary: Pacific, Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean. I joined LONIAN 7 months after it was launched and was still being set up. I work closely with the Head Housekeeper to maintain high standards throughout the boat when guests are on and off. I cover the HOH during leave, and I run the housekeeping department during trips when the HOH is on break. I’m also responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the vessel, training new stews for our fleet, surface care and product knowledge, updating housekeeping checklists, inventories, and guest preferences. During guest trips I rotate through service and housekeeping and I’m a part of the “Master” team (which consists of the HOH and 2 senior stews) to pack/unpack, turn up/turn down, provide cabin service, and wardrobe management. When guests are off the boat I create and maintain standards for hygiene during cabin inspections bi-weekly. Other duties include heavy stowing boat for both Atlantic and Pacific crossings, keeping eyes sharp by logging defects throughout the vessel, responsible for creating look books for guest spaces, assists with writing and revising detailing checklists, housekeeping inventories, enhanced guest experiences through thoughtful turndown quotes, work with contractors during shipyards. I’m also a representative of the social committee and organizing crew birthdays, crew events and games.
Busy charter vessel with an interior of 3 girls. Itinerary: Florida and Bahamas. After we did 2 charters the 2nd stew left, and I was offered to step up to service stewardess (2nd stew). All charters and boss trips for the remainder of the season were successfully fulfilled. My duties included provisioning, detailing cabins, laundry, captain’s cabin, preparing the boat for guest trips and open houses. It was a great learning experience to step up into a more service-oriented role and I realized that my goal in yachting was to pursue a full-time position on a vessel in the range of 50m+.
Interior of 2 girls. Itinerary: Bahamas. During boss trips I was responsible for breakfast service, laundry, and housekeeping. Off trips I sometimes cooked for crew, went provisioning, detailed the guest cabins, did crew laundry, reorganized the uniforms, and made new inventories for alcohol.
